Premier Dried Superphosphate

Impact Fertilisers has focussed its considerable agricultural and production expertise on developing products that add value to locally produced fine foods and fibres. Premier Super Dry has been developed to meet that demand for quality. Premier Super Dry is manufactured at Impact's Derwent Park Plant in Hobart, Tasmania to strict quality specifications.

Premier Super Dry Features

  • Premier Super Dry is specially dried and triple screened to give more even granule size. This even granule size creates superior blending characteristics
  • Single Superphospahte (SSP) remains one of the cheapest forms of phosphate (P) and sulphur (S) for farmers and the forest industry
  • The Sulphur (S) cost in Single Superphosphate (SSP) is also one of the lowest compared with alternative sources
  • The ratio of Phosphorous (P) & Sulphur (S) suits many crops and pasture needs
  • Both the Phosphorous (P) & Sulphur (S) are in readily available forms to the plants
  • In particular Premier Super Dry can be blended with other products to make a range of NPK (Nitrogen, Phosphorous,Potassium) products (plus trace elements)
  • Premier Super Dry can be stored easily for long periods, without taking up moisture
  • Premier Super Dry contains small amounts of additional trace elements

Uses

  • Premier Super Dry can be used as a low cost source of Phosphorous (P) and Sulphur (S) for a wide range of pasture and cropping applications
  • Single Superphosphate (SSP) is a traditional product for supplying Phosphorous (P) and Sulphur (S) to pastures, the main two nutrients required for pasture production
  • Premier Super Dry can be used as an ideal source of Phosphorous (P) when mixed with Nitrogen (N) and Potassium (K) for a range of pasture needs
  • Premier Super Dry blends well with other high analysis fertilisers such as Diamonium Phosphate (DAP), Muriate of Potash (MOP) and Triple Superphosphate (TSP) due to its dryness and uniform size characteristics

Specifications

  • Granule Size - particle range, 85% 1-4mm, 0.5 to 1% less than 0.5mm
  • Bulk density - 1.1 tonnes/m3
  • Angle of repose - 31-33° C

Storage and Handling

  • Can be stored for long periods in dry conditions
  • Does not take up moisture from the air
  • Can be used in a wide range of spreading and sowing equipment

Restrictions

  • It is not advised that you mix Premier Super Dry with urea and store for long periods as products may react and break down
  • If mixing with pasture seed, must be applied within four hours otherwise germination of seed may be affected

Manufacture

Premier Super Dry is manufactured using a unique drying and triple screening process. It is produced by a reaction that naturally occur between phosphate rock with sulphuric acid. The process converts insoluble phosphates into forms more readily available to plants.
